Learn about credential security01 / Introduction
These terms apply to the free temporary inboxes, email forwarding aliases, and record-viewing features provided at fwdsky.com. By using these services, you confirm that you have read and agree to follow these terms. If you don’t agree, stop using the service and don’t submit an address or create an alias.
You must also follow the laws that apply where you live and the rules of the websites and email platforms you use. Fwdsky provides an address for receiving email; it does not give you the right to bypass third-party rules, access someone else’s account, or handle another person’s data.
For details about how we handle personal information, inbox access credentials, and data retention, see the Privacy Policy. If the service rules change, we’ll update the terms and date on this page. We’ll give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect continued use, except where the law requires us to obtain separate consent.
02 / Service scope
The homepage generates a random temporary address for receiving email for a limited time. Access depends on the inbox credentials saved in your browser, not a long-term email account. Check messages while the address is active and save anything you still need.
The Microsoft and Uber emails shown when the inbox is empty are examples, not actual deliveries. They don’t imply endorsement or a partnership with Fwdsky. Sample codes, receipts, and amounts are for illustrating the interface only and can’t be used for real verification or transactions.
You can sign in with a real email account you’re authorized to access, then create forwarding aliases. Active aliases receive and forward email. When paused, they discard new messages rather than queueing them until you reactivate the alias.
These services are for receiving email only. They don’t let you send email, send messages on someone else’s behalf, or reply using an alias. We can’t guarantee that every website accepts temporary or forwarding addresses. If you’re not sure which to choose, start with our guide to choosing between a temporary email and an alias.
03 / Addresses and expiry
New temporary addresses are valid for 3 hours by default. The homepage countdown shows the actual time remaining. When you successfully select “Extend by 3 hours,” the extra time is added to the current expiry time—it doesn’t start a fresh 3-hour period from the moment you click. A failed request does not extend the address.
Selecting “Get a new address” creates a new address valid for 3 hours and invalidates the old one. Save any messages you need before switching. You’ll also need to submit the new address to the sending website; messages sent to the old address won’t be moved to the new inbox.
| Item | Duration or change | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary address | Valid for 3 hours by default; each successful extension adds 3 hours. | Check the live countdown. Extend the address or save what you need before it expires; don’t wait until afterward to try to recover it. |
| Old address after switching | Invalidated after switching; continued access to receive email is not guaranteed. | Submit the new address again and, if needed, request another email from the original website. |
| Forwarding alias | Not subject to the temporary inbox’s 3-hour timer; forwarding depends on alias status and service availability. | Check regularly that your receiving email account works. Before pausing or deleting an alias, check whether important accounts still depend on it. |
| Forwarding records | Available to view for up to 30 days; deleted records are not guaranteed to be recoverable. | Save emails you need in your real inbox or your own storage. Don’t rely on the website archive as your only copy. |
A 30-day archive does not guarantee that every email will remain accessible indefinitely, include all attachments, or be recoverable. The records available to view depend on what is actually stored. Deleting a forwarding record in Fwdsky does not delete copies already delivered to your real inbox.
Once a temporary address expires, you can no longer rely on it, and you shouldn’t assume you’ll be able to get the same address again. For details on how long addresses last, see our temporary email expiry guide. For details on data handling, see the Privacy Policy.
04 / Permitted and prohibited use
Use the service only for lawful, authorized activities with appropriate levels of risk. Even if a particular use is technically possible, you’re responsible for checking whether it follows third-party platform rules and whether an address with a limited lifespan is suitable.
The lists below illustrate what is and isn’t allowed; they don’t cover every possible case. When another person’s rights, sensitive information, or ongoing account access are involved, use an email account you can manage long term.
Send test emails only to addresses you’re authorized to use. When running automated tests, limit the request rate to avoid affecting others. Don’t use temporary email to verify accounts you obtained without authorization or use aliases to conceal illegal activity.
05 / Accounts and credentials
Make sure the login email account belongs to you or that you’re explicitly authorized to use it, and that it can receive verification codes and forwarded messages. Use of shared or work email accounts must also comply with your organization’s rules. Losing access to your real email could affect both your Fwdsky login and recovery of third-party accounts.
Keep your temporary inbox access credentials, account login credentials, email verification codes, and authenticator keys for two-step verification secure. Don’t share them, and don’t leave an active login session on a public device. Logging out of your account does not clear temporary inbox credentials saved in the same browser.
If you enable two-step verification, scan the QR code on the setup page with a mobile app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password. Then enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to confirm setup. Before changing devices, make sure you can still access your authenticator. Keep its key secure; don’t share it as a screenshot or in a public note.
Temporary addresses aren’t suitable for banking, payments, healthcare, identity documents, recovery of important accounts, or long-term identity verification. For ongoing security notifications, use a reliable real email account or carefully manage a forwarding alias. An alias does not replace the need to secure your real email account and third-party accounts.
If you discover that credentials have been exposed, stop using the affected temporary address, check your alias status and real email security settings, and contact support to explain what happened. Don’t include verification codes, access tokens, or authenticator keys in your support email.
06 / Availability and limits of liability
A sending website may reject one-time addresses, block a domain, or choose not to send email under its own policies. Delivery may also be affected by sender delays, spam filters, recipient policies, network outages, or system maintenance. Generating an address does not guarantee that a third party’s email will be delivered.
Fwdsky does not guarantee uninterrupted service, 100% email delivery, permanent address availability, or permanent email storage. Save important content yourself. If an email doesn’t arrive, check the address and its expiry first, then review the sender platform’s rules and, if needed, use another reliable email account.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fwdsky’s liability for losses caused by third-party rejections, network failures beyond our control, compromised user credentials, or failure to save content in time is limited as allowed by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or affects your statutory consumer rights.
These terms do not exempt us from obligations imposed by law. If the service doesn’t work as described on the page, keep the time, error message, and relevant steps—without secret credentials—so our support team can investigate.
07 / Ending use and contact
We may limit request rates, pause aliases, or end access to address abuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Where legally and safely possible, we’ll provide a reasonable explanation. Urgent protective measures may need to be taken first, with follow-up communication afterward.
You can stop using a temporary inbox at any time and delete unwanted emails from the homepage; switching addresses invalidates the old one. For long-term forwarding, sign in to pause or delete aliases and delete forwarding records in the dashboard. Paused aliases discard new messages. Before deleting an alias, move any third-party accounts that still rely on it.
Logging out ends access to your current account session; it does not delete your account or saved records. To request deletion of your account and personal information, contact support as described in the Privacy Policy. To prevent someone from impersonating you to request deletion, we may need to verify your identity.
Our contact email is support@fwdsky.com. Tell us which page is involved, what the issue is, and roughly when it happened. Support will never ask you for an email verification code or authenticator key.
Understand the limits, then choose the right address for your email.
