Email forwarding

Forward email from addresses you use regularly

Temporary email is great for one-time verification codes. For bills, subscriptions, and community updates you want to keep receiving, use a forwarding alias to route them to your real inbox. Disable an alias whenever you no longer need it.

When to use a temporary address

01

Trying a new app

Want to see what a product is like without signing up for its weekly emails?

02

Downloading a resource

White papers, templates, and coupons often require an email address. Sometimes all you need is the download link.

03

Testing form emails

Before launch, developers and marketers can use a disposable inbox to check that welcome emails and verification codes are being sent.

04

Making a one-time purchase

Need to check a confirmation or receipt? Use a real email address or forwarding alias for accounts involving support, refunds, or ongoing communication.

How long does temporary email last?

New addresses are valid for 3 hours by default, with the countdown shown below the address. Select “Extend by 3 hours” before it expires to keep using it. Once it expires, you can no longer rely on the address to receive email, so save anything you need beforehand.

Can temporary email receive verification codes?

It can receive email verification codes, but delivery depends on the sender. Your inbox checks for new mail every 7 seconds, and you can also refresh it manually. Some websites block disposable email addresses, so check their rules before using one.

What’s the difference between temporary email and an email alias?

A temporary email address is for one-time use. An email alias is a long-term address that forwards messages to your login email and can be paused or deleted. Avoid temporary addresses for accounts you’ll need to recover or use for bills.

How do I set up email forwarding?

First, get a verification code at the real email address where you want to receive forwarded messages, then log in and create an alias in the dashboard. Email sent to an active alias will be forwarded to that address. No separate password is needed.

Can anyone else see the emails I receive?

Access to a temporary inbox requires the access credential saved in your browser. Don’t share it or leave the inbox open on a public device. Don’t use temporary email for banking, identity documents, or other sensitive information.

Why haven’t I received my email yet?

Check that the address is correct and still active, then make sure the sender’s website accepts temporary email. Wait a moment and refresh manually, or ask the original website to resend the message. If you get a new address, submit it to the website again.
